- Sleep
Before you board
- Volume low. Quiet enough that you could talk over it.
- Screen down. Board, then put the phone face down. The bar keeps playing.
- One route. 25 to 40 minutes is a good wind-down. The music stops by itself.
- Same time. The same route at the same hour becomes a cue for sleep.
Questions at the ticket desk
What is calming music for sleep?
Slow, soft, steady instrumental music with no sudden changes, played quietly while you settle. Everything here is instrumental Purrple Cat lofi chosen for calm.
What does “Board” do?
It plays the whole route from its first stop and sets the music to fade out and stop at the end of the line, so nothing keeps playing all night.
How long are the routes?
Between 24 and 41 minutes each, which suits most people’s wind-down time. Board a second route if you need more.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Every track is a Purrple Cat Self Release under CC BY 4.0. Free to use with credit on all social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Facebook, X and more), and livestreams are fine. Neither the music nor remixes, samples or covers of it may be uploaded to music streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music, because that causes false Content ID claims.
Can I download the music?
Yes. Every stop has an MP3 link, and each route has an M3U playlist.
Who is Purrple Cat?
Purrple Cat is a solo lofi project that started in December 2018 with the album Up All Night: 500+ songs, 500M+ streams and 425K followers, mostly instrumental and with no face reveal.
